Bioscience Connecticut

In June 2011, the Connecticut General Assembly approved legislation for Bioscience Connecticut, a plan proposed by Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy to jump-start the Connecticut economy. The initiative includes plans for renovations to existing facilities on the UConn Health campus in Farmington, as well the construction of a new patient tower and ambulatory care facility, and seeks to increase in the Health Centerís medical and dental school enrollments by 30 percent. The ambulatory care facility and the patient care tower have been completed.
