Prospective Residents: Application

Foreign Medical Graduate Application Criteria We participate in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and accept six categorical residents and 5 non-designated preliminary residents each year. A completed application form, dean's letter, transcript, board scores and 3 letters of recommendation are required. Applications are due by November 1st. Interviews are by invitation only and take place during the months of November, December and January on Saturdays. The interview day begins at 7:30 a.m. and continues until approximately 3:00 p.m. We begin offering interviews in September. The applicant will have the opportunity to visit each of the participating hospitals and speak to several general surgery residents and faculty.
