  1. Getting to know your care team

    • Purpose/Description: We hypothesize that patients have poor understanding of the roles and responsibilities of healthcare providers, trainees, attendings and staff that assume their care. This may contribute to a lower level of satisfaction from their hospital or clinic visit. The purpose of the study is to better understand and document patientsí knowledge of the roles of their healthcare team through a questionnaire that is distributed at discharge for hospitalized patients or during their outpatient visit. A secondary aim of the study is to identify and subsequently apply a preferred intervention (through a brochure, poster, video or provider explanation) to improve knowledge of providersí roles.
